I caught the cold that never ends the Tuesday before Christmas and I'm still sick. We had lots of Christmas fun.
The day before I caught my forever cold the husband and I went to ICE at Gaylord Palms, to see the millions of pounds of ice carved into cool looking things and we went down the ice slide. After we got our free hot chocolate and walked around.
Christmas eve morning the husband and I opened our gifts to each other and our stockings. Then I made green beans, carrots, corn bread, dairy free sugar cookies and a pecan pie to take to the sister in laws... she made a turkey. Before we went to her house we visited the husbands grandma in her nursing home and then we had lunch at my family's favorite pizza place and my mother and father in law came with us.
At the sister in laws we had dinner and exchanged gifts, we were only there for 2 1/2 hours but it felt so long. I mean I was sick and I had no voice so that was part of it but every event with them is long =(
When we got home I started the green beans for Christmas day and we went to bed. Exciting I know!
On Christmas day we went to my parents house first, we had homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast and opened stockings and presents. They got the husband a desk from Ikea that he wanted and they got me an amazing nikon digital SLR camera.
Next we went to my grandpas house opened presents and had lunch. My grandpa got my cousin Sarah a drum set and it was loud, but she was so excited. Then we went to my grandmas and opened presents.
We went back to my parents house for dinner and played a couple board games. It was a long day but it was good.
I pretty much haven't left the house since Christmas, I went to publix once and to get some food once. And here I am still sick, sitting in bed watching gilmore girls on dvd.
