August Birchbox
I got my August birchbox in the mail this week! I'm looking forward to using all of the stuff again this month. I love it when I get a box this good.
I am especially excited about the new razor. I know it is kind of silly, but I needed a new razor so bad. I dropped mine about a month ago and the little hook things that hold the blade on stopped working, so now I have to rip the blades off and then cram new ones on and hope they don't break off. I was finally on my last refill blade so I was ready to buy a new razor and then my birchbox came with a shiny new blue razor! Woo!!!
I tried this DDF Brightening Cleanser in the shower last night and I liked it but it has a crazy sunburn warning on the back.
"Sunburn alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and
limit sun exposure while using this product
and for a week afterwards."
WHAT? Of course I didn't read this warning, Christopher read it to me as I'm lathering up my face. So I'm not really sure how I feel about that. I will have to do a little research about this sunburn attracting property I'm slathering on my face before I use it again.
This is the cutest little hand soap sample I have ever seen. I love good smelling hand soap, and this soap is really fresh smelling. It isn't girly and it's clear so it would be lovely in a guest bathroom, or really in any soap dispenser for that matter. This is something I am seriously considering buying, especially because it has free shipping right now.
I don't wear perfume because it gives me terrible headaches, but this did smell good and I'm sure which ever friend claims this little sample first will be very happy with it.
The last thing in my box was a tiny tube of gel mascara. I haven't tried this yet, but I am pretty excited. mascara is one of the only makeup products I use. I usually wear moisturizer, burts bees, and mascara, and sooommetimes translucent powder. I let you know how it goes.
