Alright ladies, it's time to embrace your girls. And I'm not taking about your friends, I'm talking about your boobs. October is the month for raising awareness of breast cancer, supporting fighters, and celebrating with survivors.
This year my mom is walking in the
Susan G Komen 3 Day Race for the Cure. She will walk 20 miles each day (for a total of 60 miles) to raise awareness and support for breast cancer research. So far she has raised $2300 for her walk.
Every donation is important, as little as $35 Could be used to provide the cost of patient transportation to a treatment session and $120 Could be used to provide the cost of a life-saving mammogram.
Last year
Bianca's mom was diagnosed with Breast cancer. It was really hard to watch a family so near and dear to me go through such a difficult year. Check out her story over at
What you are is beautiful. So many families need help and hope through their fight with breast cancer. Help and hope can be shared in tons of different ways, a meal, a card to show you are thinking of them, a prayer, a phone call, a ride to the doctor, or a donation to fund research. Find a way to help someone in anyway you can, something as simple as a phone call or a frozen lasagna could provide a little spot of joy during a very difficult journey.
