Susan G. Komen 3-Day
Today my mom started the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk in Washington DC. She will walk 20 miles each day today, tomorrow, and Sunday. She raised $2375 and walked countless miles over the last several months in preparation of her walk. I am so proud of her accomplishment and I am really enjoying the pictures of DC she keeps posting on Facebook.
Yesterday before she left for DC the preschool where she works threw her a little Pink party to send her off.
60 miles is a lot of walking, but I think the worst part for my mom will definitely be the port-a-potties. My mom is a girl, she likes showers, nice smelling things, and real toilets.
