Football is Back in Oviedo
High School
football
marching season season is one of my favorite times of year. This is my youngest brother's last year in high school, so I'm trying to savor every last football game.
Blake Bortles, of the
Jacksonville Jaguars, went to my brother's high school and at their first home game this season they retired his high school football number. It was a fun little piece of hometown history to be a part of.
The second home game was band night, so all of the seniors were recognized with their parents. He's almost all grown up.
Band night was also a game against my alma mater. It was fun to see my high school's band play, especially because a fellow classmate is now the band director at our alma mater.
I love a good night filled with marching bands! I can't wait for the competitions to start.
Happy football season!
