Christopher and I tried a new diner in Altamonte Springs for lunch on my birthday, Metro Diner. Just walking in it smelled so good, and even though the restaurant is a decent size and it was a little after 2:00 on a Friday we had to wait a few minutes for a table to free up. I felt like these were all good signs. Trust me, they were.
Christopher decided to get J.C.'s Vortex Burger, apparently it's on of their specialties. It's a hamburger sandwiched between two grilled cheese with bacon and tomato sandwiches. It's huge, just look at that first picture.
I decided to also get a house specialty, the Special Turk-E, it was grilled turkey with cheddar cheese and bacon grilled like a grilled cheese sandwich. It was delicious and a very generous size.
Both of our sandwiches came with a side and a pickle, we both chose fries and they were really good. Perfect crispiness.
We can't wait to go back, next time we're getting breakfast.
