A couple of my coworkers and I tried a new place for lunch recently, Black Rooster Taqueria. They have a simple menu, but it still has a nice selection of options.


I've been twice now and both times I've had the hibiscus tea, because come on... it's so pretty!! How could I not get it?

I have also ordered the same two tacos both times, the Black Rooster Asada ( Seared beef, apple wood smoked bacon, Oaxaca cheese, chile poblano, onion, cilantro, 3 chile-tomato salsa) and Chicken Tinga ( Pulled roasted chicken, chipotle chile-tomato sauce, lettuce, crema fresca). 

Christopher went with me the second time I went and we got chips with guacamole and a trio of salsas. I don't like  guacamole  so I didn't eat it, but he said it was really good. I liked all of the salsas and their chips are nice and crispy and not greasy, so an all around win. 

The best part of falling in love with this place is that it's now available on Amazon Prime Now Restaurants, so I can have this deliciousness delivered to work! Thank you Amazon overlords.
