Friday Favorites: July 14, 2017
We finally made it to Friday! Today is my last half day Friday for the summer, and work is about to kick it up another notch until September, so I'm going to make sure to really enjoy the hell out of this weekend.
Now to my favorites recently...
1. Zipzicles
This is the easiest way to make your own popsicles. Pour your popsicle juice into the bag, zip it shut, freeze. YUM! You may remember I made some delightful cran-mango + malibu punch a few weeks ago, and decided to make popsicles with some of the leftovers. Delish!
2. Free Slurpee Day!
I realize this isn't something you can go out and experience right after reading this, so I hope you got a free Slurpee (or 3) on 7/11, and if not, mark your calendar for next year. Bianca and I have been enjoying free Slurpees together for 15 years now. This year we made it to 3 different locations before free Slurpees ended at 7 PM. What a delicious way to end a Tuesday.
3. Christmas in July at Blue Bird Bake Shop
For one week every July, Blue Bird Bake Shop bakes holiday favorites to celebrate being half way to the most wonderful time of the year. In Florida you sometimes need a reminder that one day you won't sweat through your outfit every day, and what better way than peppermint?!
4. Feeding and Petting the Horses
We went to The Retirement Home for Horses again to feed and pet the horses. This is one of my favorite things to do even though it's kind of a drive for us. It takes a little over 2 hours to get to the farm, but it's so totally worth it. Look how sweet these horses are. I love feeding them snacks and getting a few little snuggles in when they are feeling cuddly.
That's all for this week folks. Leave your favorites in the comments and have a great weekend!
