Valentine's Day Gift Ideas 2019
We enjoy Valentine's day around our house, but we don't make a huge deal out of it. We don't exchange extravagant gifts and we usually make a nice dinner at home instead of going out to dinner with everyone else on the planet. I love buying and making gifts, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites and a free set of printable Valentine's Day gift tags, link at the bottom of the post.
If you've been reading for a while, you know I love cards. So let's start there.
Starting in the top left hand corner and working clockwise: If I Had Known, Awkward Love, Ducking Love You, Count All The Stars, The Honor of Your Presence, Mint to Be*, Hey Girl!
*This Mint to Be card is by Print Farm Paper Co. out of Tampa, I got it a couple years ago. I can't find a website for them, so I don't know if they are still making cards.
Rifle Paper Co. has the cutest postcards, I like to send them to my friends.
I decided to write Christopher 28 love notes, one for each day in February. This is something you could do for anyone, and is basically free because you probably already have something to write on and something to write with. I used blank note cards, but you could use post its, scraps of paper, write it on a dry erase board, index cards, whatever is most your style. I do suggest writing it by hand though, because that makes it a little more special.

Snacks! What does your lover like to snack on? Christopher loves sunflower seeds, olives, and candies. So I try to incorporate some of his favorite snacks into his Valentine's Day gift.
This avocado saver is a fun gift to give with an avocado.
If the gentleman in your life isn't a snacker, maybe a new pair of fun socks, a popsocket, or fun shoe laces.

Hobby supplies. Christopher loves to tinker and build things, so sometimes he just needs a box of weird parts from the surplus store, or a gift card to the hardware store.
If your partner is outdoorsy, likes to tinker, or loses things easily check out these silicone wedding rings. With these rings you don't have to worry about losing or damaging your wedding ring while getting dirty. Christopher likes to match his ring to his outfit, so he has several colors. He wears these all the time now. I don't even know where his traditional wedding ring is.
Another fun outdoorsy gift is this Hemlock Hat Co. hat. Christopher has one of these for the beach, pool, cruises, yard work, and basically any time he's outside.

Something custom they can use. I ordered Christopher this lamp/bedside table organizer from Urban Edison on Etsy because he loves lamps, and can always use help getting things organized. Speaking of lighting, we have been loving the hue light bulbs by Philips. It's fun to ask Alexa to turn on the lights and set them to cool colors.
Christopher also really likes shoes. So for him shoes are always a good gift choice. His favorites for the last couple of years have been these

Snacks! I mean honestly who doesn't love a good snack. Some of my favorites are pistachios, chocolate, and chips with onion dip. Last year Christopher ordered an edible arrangement for me for Valentine's Day and it was really sweet, and really tasty!
Not into snacks, I really like the Sephora Collection face, hair, hand and foot masks. I also really like the Smith's Rosebud Salve lip balms.

Does your lover like baths? LUSH makes really great bath products that smell amazing and really give a bath a luxurious upgrade. My favorites are the Cheer Up Buttercup Bath Bomb, Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb, Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar, and Rose Jam Bubbleroon
Not a fan of baths? Check out the art prints, corksicle cups, and phone cases from Rifle Paper Co. I love basically everything they make. Add in The Little Book of Hygge and it will be the perfect gift of relaxation.

I don't know about you and the ladies in your life, but I love shoes. Over the last year I have been particularly loving my Rothy's flats. I have the original flat in navy, and the point in red, purple, and grey. If you decide to buy a pair you can use my referral link and we both get $20 off! Next I either want to get the point in leopard or hot pink. I realized taking this picture that it's time to toss these beauties in the wash.
For Work
I like to bring a little something for my coworkers on Valentine's Day. Nothing big or fancy, just a little something to let everyone know they are loved and they matter. This year I got these scratch art Valentine cards from Target. I like these because it's not a food, so I don't have to worry about allergies or special diets and everyone still gets something. But it is Valentine's Day, so I also got little packs of M&M's to offer everyone.
I also like to bring in a little treat that day, either cookies or donuts or fruits. Just because I love to share love.
For Kids
Just because we don't have our own kids doesn't mean we don't have some kids in our life to love on. This year I made confetti + glitter slime for my nieces (almost 2 & almost 4 years old). It was really easy and so cute!
I also love getting my nieces themed stickers and gel window clings. You can find this kind of thing in the one spot at Target or the dollar store.
Furry loves
Special treats, heart shaped plush toy, or a pup cup from Jeremiah's always makes Lucy smile. We got her a BarkBox subscription for her gotcha day, so she doesn't need anymore toys right now, but I picked up these treats at Trader Joe's for her and she was excited to dig in.
