Podcasts I Can't Stop Listening To
The Thing About Pam is a six episode series by Keith Morrison and Dateline NBC.
I found out about this podcast from a post by Capitol Hill Style on September 26th and finished all six episodes by October 1st. Every free moment I had, I was listening.
Here is the Dateline description: “Two days after Christmas, 2011, Russ Faria came home to find his wife, Betsy, dead. Betsy’s brutal murder set off a chain of events that would leave another person dead and expose a diabolical scheme.”
If you are at all fascinated by criminals, this is a good listen.
Hit Man is an iHeartRadio podcast hosted by Jasmyn Morris, about the book of the same name and crimes that are linked to it. I found out about this podcast from a favorites video by a YouTuber I love, leighannsays. This is endlessly fascinating and is currently being produced, so I can’t binge it all the way to the end, because the end hasn’t happened yet. I am impatiently waiting for the next episode to come out and I can’t wait to see what kinds of insane things they find tied to this book.
iHeartRadio description: “In 1983, Paladin Press, a fringe publisher, released a book called Hit Man: A Technical Manual for Independent Contractors. The author, who went by the pen name Rex Feral, offered very specific tips for the aspiring contract killer— where to find employment, how much to charge...and how to get away with murder. Ten years later, Tiffani Horn’s mother, 8-year-old brother, and a close family friend were found murdered. The exhaustive investigation involved multi-state surveillance and wiretaps, but it wasn’t until detectives stumbled upon Hit Man that they suddenly had what they called a blueprint for the murders.”
I recently started listening to Confronting OJ Simpson with Kim Goldman, and I’m intrigued. I was in late elementary school when OJ’s murder trial happened so all of the information I have is from the Netflix show, The People vs. OJ Simpson, so we’ll see what I learn here.
