Fall Bucket List Recap 2019

We enjoyed fall as much as you can when temps are still in the 80’s and 90’s. Air conditioning and iced versions of fall beverages helped us feel festive.

The only thing on our bucket list we didn’t cross off was pumpkin carving. Halloween on a Thursday is tricky. We didn’t want to carve the pumpkin the weekend before and then have it melt on our porch before Halloween, so we just decided to leave our pumpkins whole and skip the carving this year.

We got to take our niece on a fun outing to a big fall festival with a cool pumpkin patch and sunflower picking, so we checked off two items on our list that day.

We both dressed up for Halloween, I was a bat and Christopher was one of the male models from the gasoline fight scene in Zoolander.

When it dipped into the high 70’s one week, I made chili and pumpkin pie. You gotta take any chance you have to enjoy fall when you live in Florida.

We made two trips to Food and Wine Festival and of course got our favorite caramel apple from Karamell Kuche in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot.

We watched Mean Girls on Mean Girls Day (October 3) and had Mean Girls themed foods: cheese fries,

And last, we finally made homemade applesauce, which was so easy, and filled our house with the most lovely fall smell. I highly recommend making your own applesauce sometime.
