28 Things I am Grateful for February 2022
I started February with a gastroenterologist appointment, and along the way I had an abdominal ultrasound, an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. This month has not been ideal.
As usual, I’m trying to find the things I am grateful for, so here goes nothin’…
Things I’m grateful for this month:
Coffee
Library audiobooks
Candles
Grocery Pickup
My celiac disease test coming back negative! yay carbs!
Christopher giving me my B12 injection at home
Having plenty of coffee places near work
Croissants
Therapy
Curbside pick up at restaurants
Another year of dad
Nice weather so I can drive with the windows down
Seeing Manatees at Blue Springs
Homemade chocolate fondue for Valentine’s Day
A kind ultrasound tech
TikTok
Work happy hours
Dog paw print kit to make little Lucy prints
Christopher’s handyman skills
Drive through car washes
Sedation medicine
Another year of Molly
Cheddar Bay Biscuits from the grocery store
Mom visiting
Frozen The Musical
Mom’s coffee cake
Birthday celebration day with the nieces at Chuck E. Cheese
Sick days and allergy meds
February was a hard month for me. I am not a very patient person, so knowing I won’t have final results or next steps from the procedures this month until probably mid-April is draining. I have thought up so many potential results and next steps that I can’t even keep track of all the horrible things my brain has come up with. I am trying to put this in the back of my mind and focus on what I do know and how things are going and feeling now, but as I’m sure you know, it’s damn near impossible. So I’m open to any and all prayers, good wishes, healing vibes, etc. If you’ve got it, I’ll take it, because this shit is scary.
