28 Things I am Grateful for February 2022

I started February with a gastroenterologist appointment, and along the way I had an abdominal ultrasound, an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. This month has not been ideal.

As usual, I’m trying to find the things I am grateful for, so here goes nothin’…

Things I’m grateful for this month:

  1. Coffee

  2. Library audiobooks

  3. Candles

  4. Grocery Pickup

  5. My celiac disease test coming back negative! yay carbs!

  6. Christopher giving me my B12 injection at home

  7. Having plenty of coffee places near work

  8. Croissants

  9. Therapy

  10. Curbside pick up at restaurants

  11. Another year of dad

  12. Nice weather so I can drive with the windows down

  13. Seeing Manatees at Blue Springs

  14. Homemade chocolate fondue for Valentine’s Day

  15. A kind ultrasound tech

  16. TikTok

  17. Work happy hours

  18. Dog paw print kit to make little Lucy prints

  19. Christopher’s handyman skills

  20. Drive through car washes

  21. Sedation medicine

  22. Another year of Molly

  23. Cheddar Bay Biscuits from the grocery store

  24. Mom visiting

  25. Frozen The Musical

  26. Mom’s coffee cake

  27. Birthday celebration day with the nieces at Chuck E. Cheese

  28. Sick days and allergy meds

February was a hard month for me. I am not a very patient person, so knowing I won’t have final results or next steps from the procedures this month until probably mid-April is draining. I have thought up so many potential results and next steps that I can’t even keep track of all the horrible things my brain has come up with. I am trying to put this in the back of my mind and focus on what I do know and how things are going and feeling now, but as I’m sure you know, it’s damn near impossible. So I’m open to any and all prayers, good wishes, healing vibes, etc. If you’ve got it, I’ll take it, because this shit is scary.
