2022 Year End Review
It’s a year full of fun adventures and big life changes. I’ve blogged a lot of it, so I’ll link the posts, but here is an overview of 2022.
January
My youngest brother moved to VA
First hematology appointment to check out some irregular bloodwork
Turned 36
First Highland games without the fam
February
Fell and hurt myself - as usual
Hawks nested at work and started attacking people
Went to see the Manatees
My first colonoscopy & endoscopy and first time under anesthesia - super scary, but damn those drugs are good

March
April
Post Modern Jukebox concert
Saw spring snow in NC
M&H made us a good well activity book and cards - that someone stole off of our front porch
Orchids bloomed
May
Burned our collection of old Christmas Trees - the last real ones we’ll ever have
Got Lucy a bathrobe
Jen & Boris got married
Celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary with a giant tomahawk steak
June
Harry Potter in concert
July
Released from hematologist care! - I was going to quit anyway
One last float in the hood pool
Brought in a “sorry for your loss” cake to work - a dream come true
August
Quit my job after 12 years at the same college
Ended my 18 year career in education
Made offers on a few houses, always outbid
Went to Michigan with Chris for work, plus a day trip to Ontario, seeing three Great Lakes
September
Mom & Dad’s porch/garage construction started
Got a cute iced coffee glass can cup and became the girl with the cute cup at the coffee places in town
Went to the Washington County Fair - saw a cow show, got to pet lots of animals
Went to the Chilhowie Apple Festival
October
Christopher turned 38
Got nail art for the first time
Visited the town game store, Wolf Den Games
Went to a corn maze
Chris & I got sick with some kind of cold/virus situation, I think I eventually had pink eye and strep it was horrible
We had 31 trick or treaters, my parents only had 4 last year
November
Went on a date day to Kingsport to go to Huey Magoo’s and then to Johnson City to go to dinner downtown and wander around Publix
Went to Rural King with my brother and saw the chicks and ducks and all the other wild shit they sell, plus Starbucks in the big city for holiday drinks
The cement truck came and poured the footers for mom and dad’s garage
Got nail art again x 2 and didn’t love it either time, boo
Drove to Florida for a week to see Hamilton and people and eat all my favorite things
Spent a few hours in Greenville, SC on the way to FL. - Falls park, downtown/Main Street/The Commons - so cute
Took our nieces to the mall for press on nails, books, and vintage dress up accessories
Worked from Foxtail like the old days <3
Went to Trader Joe’s

Got the wordle in 2
Bow making workshop with mom
Asheville with mom and barb - wake foot sanctuary
Chris installed a new subwoofer in the Jetta

Got my hair done for the first time since we moved
