Cookie Week 2023: Pecan Sugar Cookies
I always try a few new cookie recipes when I start my Christmas cookie baking, and this year I am going to share five recipes I’d recommend for your holiday baking.
These Pecan Sugar Cookies from Sally’s Baking Addiction are lovely. They are nutty and not too sweet, perfectly balanced.
To make the cookies, start by toasting pecans and crushing them into a fine nut powder.
Mix the rest of the ingredients in a mixer. Then roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and chill.
Once your dough is chilled, finish rolling out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into shapes with cookie cutters. Bake and cool completely before icing.
To make the icing, brown the butter, and mix in the other ingredients until smooth. Dip the cookies into the icing or spread it on with a knife and decorate with more nut dust.
I hope you try these out, they are delicious.
