Class of 2004
Last weekend, we went to my TWENTIETH high school reunion. I am pretty sure I just graduated from college like three years ago, which means high was seven years ago and most certainly not 20 years.
In true Natalie fashion, I was a spectacle when we arrived. First, I walked up to a table, and an empty beer glass started rolling toward the edge, I tried to catch it, missed, and it crashed onto the floor and broke into dozens of shards. Second, I was standing under an awning near the edge because it was raining a little. The rain was collecting on the awning, and a gust of wind blew it off, it splashed onto the table umbrella near me and then drenched me from head to toe. Like my bra, underwear, and left shoe were wet. My hair got so wet that it was still damp when we got home 4 hours later. This also meant my nicely styled hair was a memory less than 30 minutes into the event.
We had fun catching up with people we hadn’t seen in years and meeting people we didn’t know in high school.
After the reunion, Christopher and I went to Ale House and shared a delightful zingers mountain melt.
I didn’t know everyone at the reunion, but it was still a lot of fun chatting with people, even if we hadn’t known each other back in the day. If you have a reunion coming up, I highly recommend going if you can. And if you are organizing a reunion, try to make it casual and inexpensive/free. My reunion was held outside at a local brewery, and the only cost to attendees was buying drinks. This made the event accessible to a lot of people.
