2024 Word of the Year Recap

This year, I wanted to begin some new things. I wanted to begin a new job, begin living in a new place, begin some new traditions, and move forward from our two years of “in-between.” After we exploded our life in 2022, we kind of just stayed in explosion mode for two years. I knew I needed to get a job because I was bored out of my mind. I knew we needed to move out of my parent’s guest room because we’re grown-ups, and they had put up with us long enough. I wanted some new things to look forward to, so I needed to begin making that happen.

Thankfully, I started a new job. We moved into a house in Florida with a POOL, and we haven’t started our new tradition yet, but once it’s warm enough to go in the pool, we’re going to have a pizza and pool night every week.

I finally began getting my hair done regularly again, but now that we’ve moved, I need to figure that out here. I began painting my nails more often because it’s nice to have them painted and not have to fight with someone about not wanting gel or dip powder or whatever other new-fangled nail products they have now.

We worked really hard for some of these new beginnings, and I’m glad they are finally here.
