I don't sleep well during the week, and as I mentioned last week August is a really busy time at work. I've been running on caffeine and dreams of the weekend. So earlier this week I decided to try going to bed when I was tired, even if that meant going to bed as soon as I got home from work.
Last night was the first time I tried this going to bed as soon as I was tired business. This is what happened:
I fell asleep at 8:30 PM. I slept soundly and woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I checked my phone and it was 10:30 PM. 10:30. Two hours. I took a freaking nap. I was so mad. I got up had a snack, let Lucy out, checked Facebook and Instagram, and went back to bed around 11:30. Then Lucy decided it was howl at the moon night at the Hofreiter house and would go nuts over somethings every couple of hours, and woke me up every single time. It was the worst night of sleep I've had in a while. The bags under my eyes are getting heavy. I need a vacation. I need my dog to shut up between 10 and 6. I need some damn sleep.
