Thanksgiving Appetizer: Baked Caramelized Onion Dip
I love a good appetizer, especially one with cheese. This Baked Caramelized Onion Dip is cheesy, creamy, and filled with sweet caramalized onions. This is perfect for a small get together or easily doubled for a larger crowd. It took me about 45 minutes from slicing the onions to dipping my first piece of bread in.
The process is simple, slice onions, cook low and slow until buttery and soft, grate a bunch of cheese, mix your liquids and garlic, add the cheese, add the onions, and bake.
I served this dip with toasted baguette and Cheesecake Factory brown bread. The baguette was my favorite pairing, but you could also serve this with chips, crackers, pretzels, or anything you like eating with cheese.
