Winter Bucket List Recap 2023-2024
Winter is my favorite season. This was a really fun bucket list, and I was so close to completing everything.
Watch Christmas Movies
We watched fewer Christmas movies this year than usual, but we still felt festive. We watched our favorites, Home Alone, Elf, Christmas Vacation, Muppet Christmas Carol, and The Grinch, plus Spirited Away for the first time. Spirited Away was really good and has a great soundtrack, this will definitely be added to our list for next year.

Celebrate My Birthday
Send Valentines
I didn’t take any pictures of the Valentines, but I did send them. I promise.
Celebrate a Fun Holiday Each Month
I didn’t get my life together enough to celebrate anything fun/weird in December. In January we celebrated Chocolate Cake Day, and in February we celebrated Groundhog Day by watching the movie Groundhog Day. Obviously, we will be celebrating Leap Day tomorrow by leaping everywhere we go. Kidding.
Try a New Recipe
First, I made a brie en croute with brown sugar, honey, and pecans served with apples and cinnamon sugar toast. Second, I made collard greens for the first time on New Year’s Day. Third, I made a frittata with random leftovers, scalloped potatoes on the bottom, leftover ham, onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers. It was really good. Last, I made potatoes au gratin for the first time to go with some pork tenderloin and veggies.
Make Parisian Style Hot Chocolate
I hope you had some winter fun over the last few months. What were some of your favorite winter activities? Let us know in the comments.
