Last night I finished the Fifty Shades of Grey series. It has been lovely reading weather, so I'm glad that I have a few books ready to read starting tonight.
So, 50 shades is, wow. It's a naughty three books, and if that's your thing, read it, you won't be sorry. Then let me know so we can make inappropriate jokes.
There were lots of things about it that I didn't love, especially some of the dialog between the characters. They use language that isn't at all how a mid 20's couple would talk. Unless all of my friends and I are freaks. The naughty pats take your mind off the medium quality writing though so don't let that stop you. I didn't get into the first book right away and it didn't end up being my favorite. I really liked book 2 and most of book 3. I was almost a little disappointed with end of the series, it ends nicely and domestic-ish, but I kind of wish that it had a more interesting less fairy tale ending.
I kept telling people at work I was going to read it and that I was on the waiting list at the library and then I read the books and now I feel ridiculous that I told people at work that I was going to read these books. I do not know them well enough for that kind of information to have been thrown around. And yes, I realize this is the internet but I don't have to see your faces and keep up a professional relationship with you Monday - Friday. oops.
Right now we are enduring tropical storm Debby. I know Debby with a Y? Come on! I heard on the radio that Debby might make another pass at Florida, but I'm not sure how reliable that information is. I love rain though, so as long as it stays a tropical storm and it doesn't produce any tornadoes near me I'd be happy to have her back for another day or two.
I think tonight I will start Wicked Business and then The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo after that. I also put my name on the waiting list for a couple other books at the library so my summer will be full of reading. Don't forget to follow along with my reading on Goodreads.
