Today, the National Mall is filled with people. They aren't there to see cherry blossoms, or the Washington Monument, or the Reflecting Pool. Those regular people are there to be part of history today as Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States. I didn't vote for Donald Trump and I'm not a fan, but this is a historic day no matter who is sworn into office.

We are extremely lucky to live in a country where we get to vote for our leaders. These elections might not always go the way we want, we might not always agree with our government officials, but we get to participate. If you aren't happy with your government, get involved - volunteer, be informed, VOTE in LOCAL ELECTIONS. Our federal government, just like most things, begins at home. I wish President Trump a successful presidency, because to do otherwise would be counterproductive. Pray for him, pray for our other decision makers, and pray for the people in our country.
