Plant Update: October 2019

Plants, plants, plants. I have tried SO HARD since July to keep my plants alive. I’m doing alright, but damn y’all, plants are hard. I’ve gathered some pictures of the plants when I first got them, some tragic pictures from the journey, and of course some pictures of what is left now.

At the end of August, tragedy struck our back yard. Our patio table blew over in one of our daily summer storms and took a planter of succulents and a couple of orchids with it. Get some tissues, becasue not all of these little babes made it.

The planter that is doing the best, is the cacti planter, followed by the lithops. My orchids aren’t blooming anymore, but for the most part they are still alive. It’s that batch of plants that took a nose dive into the yard that just didn’t recover well. I have slowly picked the dead pieces out, and I’m crossing my fingers than maybe a couple of them will bounce back.
