Annular Eclipse 2023
Christopher and I love space, the sky, planets, stars, all of it. We decided to travel to San Antonio for the Annular Solar Eclipse so we could see the full annularity/ring of fire.
In preparation for this eclipse and the full solar eclipse in April 2024, we ordered these eclipse glasses to safely view them.
We watched the weather for days leading up to the eclipse, and even with our preparation we ended up with a super cloudy eclipse experience. The clouds rolled in overnight, and peak thickness happened to line up perfectly with the peak annularity/ring of fire. We were still able to see it through the clouds a little, but we were disappointed that we didn’t have the eclipse experience we hoped for.
Within an hour of the eclipse ending, the sky was perfectly blue and cloudless. It ended up being a beautiful afternoon.
Hopefully, we will have better luck viewing the Solar Eclipse in April 2024.
Did you get a chance to see the eclipse last week? Let us know where you saw it from in the comments.
