Fall Bucket List 2023 Recap
This fall we went on a couple of fun trips and visited Florida. We went to Iowa and Minnesota in August to go to their state fairs. In October we went to Texas to see the Annular Solar Eclipse in the path of annularity and visited some of the San Antonio Missions. And in November we visited Florida to have Thanksgiving with Christopher’s family, see some of my family, and stock up on a few of our favortie things we can’t get in VA.
Now for the actual bucket list items.
We didn’t specifically go to a fall festival, but we went to two state fairs and a county fair, so that counts right? We drank so much apple cider because it’s delicious.
We went to a cool pumpkin farm together and picked our own pumpkins from the patch and then I went to another cool pumpkin patch with my mom for even more pumpkins. As far as I’m concerned, more is more when decorating for any holiday.
Christopher and I carved a pumpkin for Halloween and handed out treat bags to 39 trick-or-treaters and two cute doggies.
I baked a tart, but it has a crust and a filling so it’s pretty much a pie.
We didn’t end up picking apples, because it was farther than I thought and the season started earlier than I thought, so when I started looking at apple orchards, and realized it was the end of the season and the ones still open were over two hours away. Hopefully, we can make apple picking happen next year.
I was hoping to see a local high school football game, but it just didn’t work out. So while we didn’t make it to a live football game, we watched UCF football games on TV.
We also didn’t go the the farmers market, mostly because if you go after like 11AM there isn’t anything good left and I just never felt like it was worth getting up and dressed for this fall. Oh well.
I hope you had plenty of fall fun this season! Let us know your favorite fall activity in the comments.
