Aldi Cheesy Breadsticks Pizza
The Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Cheesy Breadsticks in the refrigerator section at Aldi are delicious. We had a box of the breadsticks in the fridge and some leftover toppings from making homemade pizza, so I knew we needed to try making a pizza with cheesy garlic breadsticks crust.
I wasn’t sure how long the pizza would need to bake, so I sauteed the onion and pepper a bit to soften them up before adding them to the pizza.
I used leftover homemade pizza sauce, red onion, green pepper, shredded mozzarella, and pepperoni, italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
I added a little extra cheese on top for good luck and popped that beauty into the oven.
I baked it at 425 for like 15-20 min, until it was bubbly and melty, and heated through. Just keep an eye on it and take it out when you’re happy with how it looks.
This was a decent little experiment. It used up some leftovers and was fun to do, but it wasn’t the greatest tasting pizza type thing. Not bad, but not great. I would say it’s like a frozen pizza that you added your own toppings to. It would be fun to make with kids, and it was different than buying a premade crust, but I wouldn’t make it again.
The breadsticks are great on their own with a little sauce to dip them in, and I think I’m going to stick with their intended use from now on. Have you ever tried to jazz up a grocery store food like breadsticks? How’d it turn out? Let us know in the comments.
