Spring Bucket List Recap 2024

Intro

In March, we visited a tulip farm to pick tulips in Nashville, TN. In April, I got local peonies from the farmer’s market, and in May, I got a mixed bouquet from a different local flower farm in town.

In April, we visited the North Carolina Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill.

And even though it’s not a botanical garden, we visited a really cool greenhouse at Ball State University while we were visiting for the eclipse.

After missing the waitlist last year and being on two waitlists this year, we were lucky enough to get tickets to see the Savannah Bananas in Durham this year. It’s not a traditional baseball game, but we had an incredible time.

I tried using natural dyes from food and spices to color some real eggs; I did not get the result I was looking for. Then I got some matte plastic eggs to decorate with cute napkins and Mod Podge as I had done before, but it did not work this time. We ate the real eggs, and I kept the plastic ones to try again next year.

Seeing the solar eclipse in the path of totality was awesome. Read about our trip here.

I didn’t take any pictures of my massage; you’re welcome.

We went to a fancy brunch at a vineyard for Mother’s Day! There was a mimosa bar =)

We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary with a trip to Outer Banks, NC. It ended up being too cold and windy to spend a lot of time at the beach, but we still had fun seeing the cute towns, visiting the Wright Brothers National Park, and seeing the Bodie Island Lighthouse.

Finally, we love a good celebration. We celebrate the big holidays, silly little holidays, and anything that sounds fun in between.

In March, we celebrated Pi Day, our dating anniversary, Persian New Year, and Easter.

In April, we celebrated Solar Eclipse Day, Mom’s birthday, and Oatmeal Cookie Day

In May, we celebrated Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with you), Mother’s Day, and our wedding anniversary.

I’m glad we were able to make everything on our list happen. Check back for the summer bucket list soon.
