Things You Might Not Know About Me
I am kind of weird, it’s what makes me so delightful. Here are some fun facts that you might not know about me.
I Bring My Own Toilet Paper and Hand Soap When I Travel
The toilet paper in hotels is so cheap and I refuse to use it unless it’s absolutely necessary. Similarly, I am picky about my soap and can’t use anything scented, so I just bring my own. Charmin and gold dial liquid hand soap for life.
I Have a String of Christmas Lights in My Room All Year Long
Christmas lights are fucking magical and I will not be told when to enjoy them. They are a perfect happy low-light option for when a lamp is just too boring.
I Love Reptiles
In high school and college, I had a friend with big snakes and they were fun to watch and pet. When I see snakes outside I usually take a picture or video. Living in VA for two years where they don’t have lizards was wild, like what do kids even catch at recess to make live earrings with?!
I Love Roadside Attractions
Christopher and I have done a lot of road tripping and I love finding random crap to visit. Some of the attractions we’ve visited are The UFO Welcome Center (now closed) in Bowman, South Carolina, The Smallest Church in America in Townsend, GA, The Red Bird Petroglyph in Manchester, Kentucky, and The Mothman Statue in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
I Don’t Really Watch Movies
Somehow over the years, I stopped watching movies. I can watch hours of TV shows, but the idea of watching a whole movie is overwhelming. The list of movies I want to watch is long, but my willingness to commit to watching one isn’t there.
Sometimes I buy Myself a Publix Birthday Cake, Just Because
My preference is a rectangle, marble cake with buttercream. The round cakes have more thin layers with more frosting and the rectangle cakes have two thicker layers and less frosting. I like a thin coat of frosting which is why the rectangle cake is superior in my opinion. And don’t even get me started on the single slices, trash.
I Love Egyptian Artifacts
I don’t know why I am so drawn to Egyptian artifacts, but I am, especially mummies. I hope I get a chance to go to Egypt and visit the Grand Egyptian Museum.
